19 August 2008: SION MULTMEDIA started selling Internet bandwidth. SION MULTMEDIA started selling Internet bandwidth to Congolese Internet Service Provider and Telco. The capacity will be provided by Verizon South-Africa and the offer will cover only satellite services using C or Ku bands.
The aim is to improve Internet quality in country and provide local support to customer. SION MULTIMEDIA trough this partnership, is targeting to create a Point of presence into the DRC and is focusing on wholesale market.

8 August 2008: SION MUTLIMEDIA to rollout IBurst Network in DRC
The contract was signed today afternoon in Johannesburg, at IBurst office in Randburg between SION Multimedia Managing Director, Gabriel Zema and IBurst CEO, IAN Halliday in presence of Mr Beni Mbenga, Sion Holdings Chairman and Leon the Fleuriot, IBURST CTO.
The 11 base stations will be deployed to cover Kinshasa.
IBurst technology will improve Internet access to end users. The technology is cellular and working indoor plug and play.
26 April 2008: E-business conference Sion Multimedia and Afrik Interim organized the first e-business conference in the Democratic Republic of Congo, in collaboration with Congolese Reserve Bank and other local banks.
The key session focused on E-commerce applications presented by Mr Gabriel Zema: Sion Multimedia Managing Director,
E-governance presented by Mr Modeste Kazege, Infrastructure Director of Central bank, E-payment and interoperability presented by Hicham Bandahir m2m Commercial Manager.
The Master of Ceremony Mr Willy Kalengay, Publisher Manager of Geopolis introduced the conference by presenting e-business concept.
Albert Kabeya, Corporate Manager of Celtel DRC, presented connectivity solutions for banking sector allowing them to connect ATM, POS and remote agencies, Call center and others solutions oriented to banking business.
A quick presentation of Celpay based on Mobile payment concluded the day.
Most of banks were present: RAWBANK, STANBIC, TMB, BIC, BIAC, BCDC, Central Bank represented by Mr Lusamba Ntumba, Information System Director.
We noticed also the presence of Mr Katende Director of ARPTC;
Mr. Al Kitenge of Synergy Group, a company specialized in E-transactions equipments as NCR ATM and Ingenico POS.

By the end of May 2008, Sion Multimedia will be granted the License to rollout and get start the TV Distribution in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
15 April 2008: m2m MOU Sion Multimedia signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Morocco company m2m group expert in secured electronic transactions.
